Cutting down the tree...

Hanging the tree from the ceiling and putting on the lights.

Decorating

Finished product. I do have to say I like the tree hanging from the ceiling. It makes it seem magical like the tree is floating.

Santa

Start of Summer

Wade and I flew to Seattle. It was a lot of fun.

I am so glad my brother went too because he was really good at helping out with Wade. He also pushed the stroller while carrying our heavy bags. :) If you have been to Seattle you would know that the steep hills are endless.

We drove to Vancouver Canada. It was a beautiful place, but I thought the town was really ghetto. It looked like down town Salt Lake. Which I should also mention that my brother was offered drugs when he walked out of our hotel.

At the conclusion of our trip we decided with all the beautiful places in the world, why do we live in Utah?

We have spent a lot of time outside. Wade's favorite thing is being able to play with the hose.

We drive up the canyon, which you wouldn't even imagine the scenery would be possible if you saw where we lived.

We can thank the environmentalist that there are two fires in our backyard and we get to breath in a cloud of smoke every day not too mention lose this beautiful view. You can see the beetle kill in the background. The Forest Service started a huge project clearing out the dead trees, but the environmentalist stopped the project. They said they wanted nature to take its curse. So sure enough it has. Didn't take much and you can see why it's hard to control with all that dead wood.

Take out the canoe. It was a little nerve racking taking Wade in this little canoe when there are huge boats all around. Let's be honest. Wade's life jacket doesn't look promising. Not sure where Rusty got that thing and how old it is.

Birthdays

Rusty doesn't like cake so this is the choice he made to replace it.

The big ONE!

I have been looking for this day since he was born. :) I love babies, but I don't like being in charge of keeping them alive. I think it is less nerve racking having a one year old.

Things about Wade.

- He has been walking full time for about a month.

- He LOVES the potty dance song. We can't bring out the computer with out him going crazy because he wants to watch the potty dance song.

- I'm teaching him sign language and for the first time today he did "more" by himself...when he wanted to watch the potty dance again. :)

- He loves bugs which grosses me out. He will sit outside and want to touch and grab them. Yuck! You know they will smash in his fingers.

- He points and squawks like a bird when he wants something. It's high pitched, loud, and repetitive. It's not annoying at all.

- He can say mom, dad, ball, and will repeat baa when watching an animal sound song.

- His favorite toys are me, inside the fridge, digging in the garbage, outlets, and he LOVES dirty diapers. If you throw the diaper to the garbage his face lights up and he will chase you to that diaper. He thinks it's so fun. You put it in the garbage and he will reach in and take it out. He thinks it's a fun game which only annoys mom. Yes. He has toys, but rarely do you see him playing with them. I am working on getting him more toys to replace the list above.

To the Hunter's Wife

Our husbands thrive off of the hunt, the chase, the challenge of hunting. If it's not their hunt it's the time outdoors. They count down the days until August when they can finally spend their days outdoors hiking for miles to find their one deer/elk. Their wives on the other hand dread when hunting season rolls around. What they see as a way of life, we see as unnecessary expenses and weekend after weekend home alone. It becomes a lose lose battle. You have them stay home and you can tell they are unhappy. You let them go and you become unhappy.

So what do you do??...........

Join them!

I am not sure if I have ever seen Rusty as excited as the time I finally agreed to get a bow. After shooting a few and realized that this was a lot better than guns..no bang...no kick. I agreed. (Also my extreme boredom in this small town had a huge factor.) Rusty was really good about looking and making sure I liked everything. We got lucky with a few connections here in this small town which saved us lots of money. A guy made custom pink arrows for me for really cheap because if I am going to do a manly sport I definitely need pink accessories.

Rusty is all about me going hunting this fall. He thinks we can haul Wade around..:). I think it will be fun to hike around and find them, but shooting them...who knows. All I know is that I have something to do on Wednesday nights because I am joining the archery club. :)

Love this age!

I love eating this Puffe Rice cereal! Wade does too apparently.

Shopping.

He got whiney sitting up front so I put him in the back to sit and play with the items in the cart. When we stopped, he stood up and didn't want to sit back down. Don't worry we didn't go far before I picked him up.

The Break

Love him!

His new favorite toy. If you say, "choo choo" he looks around for his train and then will crawl over to it. If you growl he will crawl over to his polar bear. I can't figure out why he loves that polar bear so much but he loves it more than the toys that move or sing. He will swing the bear around and laugh and laugh. Cute

More interested in getting into Grandma's toy box than opening presents.

Great picture of Wade and his cousin Tommy.

Can't visit the Robinson clan without some kind of out doors extravaganza.
