To the Hunter's Wife

Our husbands thrive off of the hunt, the chase, the challenge of hunting. If it's not their hunt it's the time outdoors. They count down the days until August when they can finally spend their days outdoors hiking for miles to find their one deer/elk. Their wives on the other hand dread when hunting season rolls around. What they see as a way of life, we see as unnecessary expenses and weekend after weekend home alone. It becomes a lose lose battle. You have them stay home and you can tell they are unhappy. You let them go and you become unhappy.

So what do you do??...........

I am not sure if I have ever seen Rusty as excited as the time I finally agreed to get a bow. After shooting a few and realized that this was a lot better than guns..no bang...no kick. I agreed. (Also my extreme boredom in this small town had a huge factor.) Rusty was really good about looking and making sure I liked everything. We got lucky with a few connections here in this small town which saved us lots of money. A guy made custom pink arrows for me for really cheap because if I am going to do a manly sport I definitely need pink accessories.

Rusty is all about me going hunting this fall. He thinks we can haul Wade around..:). I think it will be fun to hike around and find them, but shooting them...who knows. All I know is that I have something to do on Wednesday nights because I am joining the archery club. :)

Love this age!

I love eating this Puffe Rice cereal! Wade does too apparently.

Shopping.

He got whiney sitting up front so I put him in the back to sit and play with the items in the cart. When we stopped, he stood up and didn't want to sit back down. Don't worry we didn't go far before I picked him up.
