It's Been 26 Years, I Think it's about Time...

to make my first batch of cookies. Can't be that hard right?

Wade was so intreiged. He wouldn't take his eyes off the bowl.

Well obviously it is that hard. I swear I followed the recipe to the T. And my round balls were not that big and were a good two inches from each other. I blame the generic brand of chochlate chips. They had a horrible recipe that left an oily mess in my oven.

This is why I don't cook. My poor husband. Last year I tried to make brownies for someone, four boxes later I gave up. People make it look so easy to make brownies from a box, but it's definitely a talent.

Ok,I have a fool proof recipe for you to try. It's the same cookies I made for you and Rusty when you moved into the condos. Only 3 Ingredients!
Pumpkin Chocolate chip Cookies
1 box of spice mix (I like Duncan)
1 small can of pumpkin
1/2 bag of chocolate chips

Mix it all together. I use a small ice cream scoop to make sure they are all the same size. Space about 2 inches apart. 350 for 15 minutes. YUM!!

My first batch of cookies turned out the same way. Keep trying. I would say that cooking/baking/etc. is more of a science than a talent. At least it seems that way for me.

I LOVE this post!!! My tip would be to follow the directions about the butter. Only use butter not margarine. Always follow cold/softened/melted part of the recipe. Oh, and mix all the wet and mix all the dry in different bowls and then combine.
